I'm going to be swaping a ka24de into my 89 fastback. How much trouble am I in?

I am doing the same, but I am also going from auto SOHC to manual DOHC. Just get all the parts and it shouldn't be too hard to do from what I have heard.

Im in the process of my swap, there is a good article someone posted about how to keep your powersteering from the sohc, look up my name under post "almost e -->de" and if you guys find out weither or not you can use an 94+ intake manifold on an 94+ block (heard that you have to use the 91-93 intake manifold with a 94+ block) let me know.

I just got done putting '91 kade in my '89 coupe. I had '91 donor car so I was able to use P/S lines. Most likely will not be able to have A/C, unless you have custom lines made. Biggest problem is wiring, DE wiring harness from motor DOES NOT plug into harness in NON-DE car. And If you look at wiring diagrams for each car they are very different. Takes a lot of re-wiring but mine runs like crazy. So I know it can be done.

i'm doing the swap 95 into a 90 240sx..wiring issue is a pain in the ***...i believe i have to get a distributer from a 91-93 motor and that should finish my swap

hugh, dumb question but you check out the reverse sensor on the transmission right?my reverse lights didnt work on my 90 240 and it ended up being the reverse sensor. it was on the pass side of the transmission.
