Now I the ka24de and the sr20 radiators are the same size right? Wouldn't it be a good idea just to keep my radiator in there once my sr20 is in there? But I wouldn't think the ka shroud will work but im not sure?By the way im sticking to stock turbo and running as an everyday driver I should say no more than 10psi if I get a fmic.Tel me your guys input, would I have heating problems?

the shroud should fit with some trimming so the SR fan clears, and the stock KA Rad will work fine as long as it doesnt get to hot in your area.

You'll be fine with the ka radiator. I used a ka24e radiator in 100+ degree weather for 3 yrs straight without any overheating issues. Also took it to LA and got stuck in LA traffic too.

I had no problems in 100+ degree weather in VA with KA radiator and just the A/C fan. I removed the engine fan. My coolant temps are low and stable.

Thanks for the input guys. So I wouldn't really need to switch fans and go with an electric fan. Oh yeah I also live in northwest ohio. I dont think we've had a hotter day over 90 this summer

Im not sure the clutch fan will fit because of the radiator pipe going across the front of the engine.

your hood will be able to close if you're using stock piping. If it wouldn't clear, it wouldn't be stock. The KA radiator will need two elbow with 90 degree bends and a pipe. I've got that if you need it, as I'm going with an aftermarket SR radiator and already have silicone hoses for use with my sr.

180fan- If You're talking about the hoses I need to hook up the radiator to the motor than yeah I do need that. Give me a price. If you can get a pic that would be very helpful in what it looks like.this is my email [email protected]

Now i have my stock ka24de radiator on with the the pipe going across, I was looking but didn't try really hard, but how am i going to run the cold pipe it looks like it has to go on top of the radiator hose going across. Anyone use the stock radiator and stock coldpipe?

Prety sure like 180fan said 2 90 degree bends will let it clear. Just gotta get that hose down.

I've never noticed any heating issues using my KA radiator. A lot of people say they do though. Just keep your eye on the temp when it's hot out, especially if you're running the AC.

If you use a silvia radiator and shroud, you can use the stock cold pipe, but just about everyone I know that spliced the whole deal with the KA radiator has had to go with something different than stock. This could be a good time to consider an FMIC. A good electric fan setup will be best with the FMIC placed a few inches in front of the radiator. This will also allow you to keep the KA radiator using a crossover hose for the upper hose and to attach an electric fan to the radiator.
