Yeah but you can great a crapload of power out of a single cam too. There's pros and cons too both...

DE = 155hpE - 140hpThe E is a PITA to work on as far as timing chain and timing in general b/c the oil pump runs off the distributor. The DE is easier to work on.

With the E you only have one cam to worry about (cheaper upgrade) and for the DE look to spend quite a bit on 2 cams (if you go that route anyways).

E's are cheap as hell (sometimes free) and easy to find parts for...DE's are a little more expensive, especially depending on how new they are.

If you have an 89 or 90, you'll have to do a little more work to swap the DE in than the E (obviously)...so just depends on what you're looking to spend and how much work you want to too, along with long-term plans.

GEEEE thats a hard one to answer.....Obviously the DE is far more superior. The Head has a higher and better CFM rating. The Pentroof dome shape utilizes a flame front better than the E's. More valves for increases curtain space. I could go on and on, the de is a primed racing engine compared to the E. Hell the bottom end comes with fricken oil squirters...16bit ecu mapping, VS 8bit? I would go with 16......No, another cam doesnt necessarily make it a better engine, the SOHC GT3 guys would debate that issue all day long.
