KA problem....wont shift ? for why?

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Alright heres the problem...sometimes the car wont shift past 2500 rpm,like it acts as a red line but then if i let off and hit the gas again and its fine.And like i said this doesnt happen everytime.My only thoughts so far would be a new MAF sensor,clean the fuel injectors,or a new fuel pump. Any help please?

Check the MAF connections sometimes they are corroded, also clean the MAF sensor too.
