ka problem please help

For about a week nowmy car has started fine and i'll drive for a while and it will eitherdie or start sputtering when its idleing. if it dies and i try and start it again it either turns right off or wont turnover untili try a few times. and then sometimes it sputters around 2000 rpm andit spits out black smoke when ipush the gas to keep it from dieing. can someone help me figure out what it is?
