I was wonder what type of exhaust manifold do you guys run? I'm new to the KA... all the 240s I ever owned were always sr20det... and my daily driver will retain the KA24de. I was looking at getting a intake and header. any recommendations? pretty much something cheap but makes some power. I already have a HKS Hi power exhaust. any advice and ideas would be awesome

thank you

None of them really seem to be that good for power. DC sports seems like the highest quality one out now.

i'd say, get the cold air intake, hooked up your exhaust, get a header yes it will be worth it... also get a lightweight underdrive crank pulley, get a lightweight flywheel if its 5spd, get a aftermarket clutch kit, get an MSD ingintion, play with the timing to advacne it some, get a 300ZX TT fuel filter, and that's all the N/A power you could possibly want, need, and get. And in my book it will hall ***!!!

can't believe you guys forgot to list 91-93 cam swap, jeez. thats good for acouple prancing ponies, plus they're like $40 from a junk yard. should go well with a header and intake.

Open up the exhaust get a cat back system, high flow cat, and a DC sports or Hot Shot Header. Believe me your KA and you will both love the feeling of more power....

an msd ignition harldy does anything...and if you are going to advance your timing you have to kno what you are doing or you will do more harm then good.. and all the na power you will ever want??? i think mabey up to a 15-20 hp increase is hardly all the power you will ever want...get the ecu retuned from someone like jwt, some real cams, and a good all around tune up will do a lot..and reset the timing and adjust it properly

umm yeah. lets see, jwt ecu tune + Jwt cams = around $1000= not so cheapI doubt that hot cams are gonna make a differance worth the price on a stock compression, mildly modded motor.

i said someoen like jwt...there are plenty of other companies out there with just *** god of products as jwt...and just an ecu upgrade makes a world of a difference

arent sr's side feed..there is some difference that would take some modding to my knowledge but i dont kno sr's that well..and you can put the biggest injectors on your car and it wont make much of a difference becasue one.. your ecu wont give you more fuel unless you ahve more air(turbo) and your pump may struggle if you dont have an afermarket one. and third if you go bigger then a certian amount your ecu wont be able to push them open and closed...but if your injectors are bad then you might see a litle gain..damn its too bad im using the extra dohc cams on my new motor..ill have to intake cams lying around...lol...

your right i appologize...about the sr injectors working..but if you just put injectors on your car it wont really do much unless you have more air coming in to go to the fuel..but...yeah...

If you have an sr turbo lying around I'd buy the ssca turbo kit minus their turbo and use it. buy a walbro fp and you got an el cheapo turbo set up. later on when you get more $$$ upgrade to bigger injectors and ecu tune.

This is theoretical since I have no experience w/ the ssca kit but from what i hear the weak point is the super crap knock off turbo and the IC piping isn't rolled.

Who cares if it's not rolled, that's why God created hairspray.
