I'm starting to build a motor for my car, I'm thinking KA or KA-t but not really sure at this point. Another possibility is a CA, and the SR i just don't really like the feel or the cost of them here in cali. Anyways I was wondering if any knows if Nissan ever put a "vtec" head for the ka???

no they dont , what year , how many miles.
if you have never replaced the clutch that would be a good start , i just got my motor port and polished and runs like a bute (nice third gears chearps for a stock motor)

Right now I have a 92. But i was just starting. I got a local shop that will hook up a CA18 for 1000. And i've got a second ka24de assembly sitting in my garage so right now i'm just looking into the possibilities.2fast2forty wrote:no they dont , what year , how many miles.

Anyways to be more specific SR20DET in S14 came with VTC not quite like vtec...
There is also an engine called SR20VET that has variable valve timing like vtec but is not in any of the USDM models.
