If I were you I'd check out the classifieds and read the stickies over in the 240sx forums.

If you have no luck with stickies and searching then try posting up.

You'll get better answers there. Although they are known to flame a bit too.

Good Luck.

Hey friend,

I moved your thread to the KA-T section where you can find much more help.

If you would wish to have the name of the thread changed just let me know.

Thanks,Mike

Start small and move up from there. 200 rwhp is a great start on an s chasis. At 18 years old, buying all the parts and building up a 500 bhp KA is going to take a lot of cash, and if you dont have experience driving something that fast, can get you in a lot of trouble and danger.

Progress within your means first, because once you start putting down some power, you will NEED to upgrade the entire drivetrain, suspension, brakes, what tires you use, safety measures (roll cage) ie.

Really man, 500hp in a car as small as ours is some serious bidnass! After driving around at @ 140hp, a jump to 200 or 250hp is going to be like a whole new world. Start there and as you gain more experience at driving, building, tuning and tweaking your car, you will be ready to put together a set up that will safely and reliably make 500hp+ and drive it everyday.

500 on a 2800 lb car.....blip the throttle and you'll probably loose it, lol. Unless you have some SERIOUS experience.

At about 300-350 my S14 was extremely fun while it lasted. When I built my first Skyline I swore it was like 500whp...nope, 310. Point being, power is very misleading as are the numbers people casually toss around. To put 350whp in a S chassis basically means you'll be faster then 80% of the cars you run into on the road every day.

Reguardless, there are alot of people that can assist you with any amount of power you decide to aim for. Try AMS, they are one of Nico's sponsors and have built the fastest KA powered 240 in the world.

i would just start with a low boost daily street car if I were you, trust me a light azz s-chassis in the low to mid 200's hp car can be handful already!

yeah in the rain, forget boost unless you wanna end up in a ditch on the side of the road..I can still do a burnout going 65 in fourth gear, no wonder s-chassis make such great drift cars : D

Hey i would tell you the same thing that you have heard like 20 times all ready. I am sitting at 280 whp and it is a fun car to drive dont know what you need 500 hp for but you can find the info you need in the stickes at the top. I would really think first unless you want to crash or worse( unless you race formula 1 since you were like 8) 500 would be way to much to start with.
