KA not reving right NEED HELP

I just picked up a s13 with DOHC KA. It runs greats, but doesn't pull like it should. It hesitates, like its getting too much fuel, but only does it sometimes.... It seams as if it pulls just as hard at, half throttle. It acts like it wants go, it just doesn't pull as strong as it should.....??? I changed everything (full tune up) and its better, but still not right. Could it be the timing? This is my daily and I got to get it right....

get urself a timing light... if u dont have one, just buy one and then when ur done return it... anyway loosen the 2 bolts on the distributor so u can twist it a little each way... put the timing light on it and make sure the timing is at 20 degrees advanced... i had a similar problem after i put mine together, but once i tweaked the timing it pulls nice and revs all the way out...
