Hi all, this is my first post in this forum.I got a 91 240SX SE Coupe about a week ago. The car is completely stock and the KA24DE runs pretty well with 140k on the odometer. I have a z32 fuel filter in, and I am about to ditch the truck-style fan for an electric. NGK plugs, new wires, a thicker ground, and an AEM short ram are all in the works, but I'm not sure where to go beyond that.

I am considering:- Timing adjustment- Walbro 255 fuel pump- New headers and exhaust- Cams / Gears- LSD- Street Clutch

Eventually there will be an sr swap, so I'm not going to bother with anything extremely expensive or turbo related.

Now that you have read my little spiel, I am looking for advice on the more basic, legal (or close to legal) mods first. Let me know what you think. Thanks in advance.

it sounds like you know quite a bit to start off with.

timing adjustment - search for that here, theres a thread somewhere that talks about how much is safe and whatnot, advance for n/a, retard for boost, run higher octanes for either N/A or boost.

- no need for the walbro on a N/a, but will need one later

- headers and exhaust, kind of a waste of money if youre going to turbo a little while down the road, but if you must get them, get a hotshot header, brm exhausts are nice, but there are a bunch that are

- cams, youve got the 91' cams, so you have the nicest stock ones, but again, if you must, try jim wolf, or pdm.

- lsd, depends on what youre using it for, everything from vlsds to 2 way clutch types, more info please.

- clutch, clutchmasters, act, spec, centerforce, i cant really speak for any of the above except for clutchmasters, and mine is just fine.

oh and welcome to the club guy.use the search button,

Thanks for the welcome and the advice.

I think I will go for a timing adjustment once I finish the other things I mentioned. After that I think I will work more on suspension and interior while I anticipate the swap. Thanks again.

Have fun wit the Ka i luv all three of mine. Warning:The Ka can be a tempermental b**ch or a old rich grandpop that refuses to die. Sometimes ya hate her cause she won't let u get where ya gotta go, other times it won't go away when you want somethin better under the hood. Just my O.
