KA Mileage ???

I have a 93 240sx and I would like to turbocharge the KA motor that I have. The motor has 117,000 miles and runs great. I am not sure what I need to do to the motor first before I purchase a turbo kit. Any help would be great.

Nothing. My engine is at 142,200 miles and definatly rolling north with the way I have been driving it lately... And it is unopened except for valvecover to paint it and oil pan to drill it.

I noticed that you are in Ocala... If you are ever up to it, head out to Gainesville. We have a local meet every Thursday night at around 10:30pm at The Ale House on Archer Rd. I am out there every meet as well as a couple other KA-T people.

Thanks for the advice. I am just getting started on the car so I do not have anything done to it at this point. I have not started work on the motor since I didn't know whether I would swap it or not. Other than the bolt on turbo kit, what other expenses am I looking at? Do I have to upgrade the ECU immediately or can that wait?

I have 112K and im boostin 5 psi for the last 50 miles hehehehe and so far so good . But if you wanna play it safe get a compression test and do the regular recommended maintenance:

+ Spark Plugs+ Wires+ Distributor+ Removal of Timing Chain Guide+ Check water pumpetc.

hehe 170k miles, stock block. Ran about 15k miles on 10psi on a VERY small turbo (major heat, exhaust gas reversion...the works). Now, I run 8-9psi on a T3/T04E, still no real drama, with the exception of the occasional smoke cloud.

Make mine 142,600. Went out racing one night(100 miles or so) then drove to Tampa today(300 miles) and a couple lil trips here and there...

Was turboed runnign 5psi.Upgraded to 10psi and put in larger injectors.Screwed up and spund rod bearing after 2000miles of being KAT. Next day off 110k engine will be dropped in. Any of yall come down towards daytona?

I MIGHT...be down that way during March. I'll be staying over there for a couple nights with my GF.... I'll at least be on A1A somewhere.lol Kinda gonna play it by ear finding a place to stay/whats avaliable. I know rooms will be packed...
