This is not to start and drama, etc.. I.E. mods don't ban me. I don't care who makes a manifold actually any info is good. I haven't been able to find a shop who sells them for a decent price. So if you have any info, it is welcome. I respect Ivan and PhatKA-T alot but I think information should be allowed to be posted on a forum.

No one has one available for immediate distribution.

Go custom (ala PSI240SX's old car), or copy the PhatKA-T or BD design (AL sheetmetal design).

i think that i have read something about this before.. are the mods not letting anybody post info on a intake manifold becouse the company is not a nico advertiser... if so i think that is a little childish.. yes support the local advertisers but there is a whole lot more out there then jsut them that we have to discuss so nobody gets jacked and bigger and better cars can rool out

It wasn't because it was about the intake manifold. Basicaly, there's been two places to make intake manifolds, Ivan is one but he has only done a race manifold and boost designs is the other but they haven't showed any kind of finished product, but on their page it says they're making them and they've showed prototypes.

DriftFasterThanGrip asked about Ivan's manifold AND about any OTHER manifolds. He only knew about Ivan's though. So WD posted about the boost design one and that made some people mad because the post never asked specificaly about the boost design one. So he accused WD of just advertising as much for boost designs as possible. Even though, in the kids post, he asks people to "lmk" (let me know) if there are others. It all just got out of hand.

So far I haven't seen any finished ones being sold other than the race one by Ivan which is well over $1000. Just pick up a spare intake manifold and start cutting and welding. THat or there's places that sell plenums and you just weld on your runners. Good luck.

It was actually Seabrook who posted about the BD mani, but that is the basic jist of what happened. Thanks for expalining.

Members can post anything they want about basically anything KAT related. Just so long as they aren't advertising for anyone. Thats it in a nutshell. If your with a competing speed shop, you can't bash the competition either. Especially a NICO sponsor. That simply won't be tolerated.

Anything else is always welcome fella's. I would like to see a head's up comparison between BD and PhatKat someday. Just for information purposes. I learn new stuff everyday and I'm a genious...lol.

where did you get this information from?

last i heard, ivan had no intentions of selling an intake manifold. unless something has changed, the only 2 in existence are going to be the only 2 made. boostdesigns is the only supplier of an aftermarket intake manifold for the KA, and i'm not saying that because they're a supplier...i'm saying that because that's just how it is.

...then again, i could be wrong since i've been out of the loop for a minute or two.

Ivan said he could make one, but it would be over 1200 bucks if you wanted it. It would also be a custom thing, not a production thing.
