I was just tossing this idea around in my head. I've found a lot of SR20 intake manifolds for sale on ebay. I was wondering if its possibe to put one on a KA. And if so what kind of power increases you could get. With the much shorter runners than the KA intake, I would think it would make a lot more high end power than the stock KA mani. If its not possible (which is what im betting on) then are there any other aftermarket intake manifolds for the KA that are worth looking at?

I dont think it is possible. Ask some sr people to take some measurements for you. Good idea though, but then again, the sr intake mani was designed for a turbo engine, and may not be well suited for the ka.

An idea that may work well is to hack the intake manifold like is done with the ITB setups but instead of hooking up GSXR throttles hack the collector off of a Civic or SR intake and attach that in the same fashion. With a larger TB.

The cheesy Civic intakes seem to be cheaper on ebay than SR intakes but they may be to small for the KA. They should be signifigantly larger than a cylinders displacement and about 50-70% of the engines entire displacment. This OBX manifold here may be a good candidate since the runners aren't at a severe angle.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1

It would need a brace to support the wieght. But it could work and would probably be easier than ITB's since retaing the MAF setup would be much easier.
