I have a KA24DE and im looking to get a new block. I have a rather large size hole in it atm. I am getting a KA24E engine from a friend and i was wonderin if the blocks are swappable? KA24DE is DOHC and KA24E is SOHC, i figured that the Dual is a tad bit larger so the head will fit. Does anyone know if i can swap the head from the Dual Head to the Single head Block?

Thanks!

It will require custom fabricating a front cover for it. It has been done before, tho. Use the search button, its has been discussed before as well.

Yeah it can be done. Its a huge pain in the ***. Horsepower feels good. I spun a rod bearing during break-in so I can't tell you too much.
