So my ka24e is running rich, and heres what ive done to try and fix it. Spark plugs, distributor, wires, fuel filter, front 02 sensor, all replaced last year. About 6 months ago, car threw leaky injector code, all four injectors were bad so they were all replaced, along with the o-rings. I dont smell any gas leaking from the engine bay, but from the exhaust i can really smell it, and my rear bumber is black. I've bought another set of o rings just to be sure my injectors are installed properly. Im guessing to change my Fuel pressure regulator next? thats an expensive part so how would i know if its bad or not. Also plan on switching to auto ecu. City driving with very few highway gets me less than 150 miles to the tank.

What should i do, this single cam is really pissing me off.

You can install a fuel pressure tester and check fuel pressure. I have not seen a pressure reg. go bad, but it does happen. You can rent one from auto parts store. Pressure should be about 45 lbs. If the FPR sticks it would push injectors open and look like they are bad.I have seen Ford FPR stick and run the pressure up to 90 lbs. I would test maf as well. It would be good to see some data from it.There is a post by Vancoverbc on what you need to be able to scan your computer.

if injectors were bad after replacing all that u should recheck all that u replaced before the injectors. since the car was running rich it could have refouled the plugs or the O2 sensor. also, check ur thermostat as well, as a stuck thermostat can cause the car to run open loop and run rich (verification?)
