I had a few questions before starting a rebuild on a KA. I am planning to turbo the engine but wanted to know what internals if any should be replaced for upgraded parts if I want to produce 250-350hp. Also what is the average cost of a stock rebuild if I didn't go turbo? If I went with a turbo what would the parts list be? If possible to include cost of any parts suggested that would be great. I know there is a big difference in the hp range I'm looking at but want to get a figure cost wise to see if its worth it. In the mean time I'll be working the search button. Thanks in advance. Oh and I want to keep everything legal

As much as I feel that no one should respond to this question since it has been discussed so many times on various forums, I'm in a good mood.

If your motor is in good condition, there is no reason that you can't make those numbers on a stock motor, as long as you have it tuned properly. However, if you are already rebuilding a motor, I would recomend replacing the pistons with something forged, and a 9:1 compression ratio just to keep things safer. That should do for your power goals.

As for a parts list:turbo manifoldturbodump pipedown pipewastegateBOVintercooler and pipinginjectorsfuel pumpsomething to tune it withbetter MAFOil lines for turbo

Might be some things I'm leaving out, but that should be a good starting point. As for prices, I wouldn't begin to put anything down, because that can vary widely on what kind of kit you're putting together. Anywhere from one guys junkyard settup for less than a grand, up to a fully produced kit for probly around $3,000.
