Okay, first off, i have a 1990 sohc that i plan to swap a 1995 KA24de into. From what I understand the 95 de has a second set of 'butterflys' in the intake manifold. From research I have done, i have found that it is better to eliminate the second butterflys. I am not sure why. My first question is, why is this better?Second, how do i go about doing this?

Also this is obviously an s14 motor, and i will be putting it into an s13, so i will need an s13de harness. Will this fit on the motor correctly. Which ecu should i use(95 or 91-93)?

thats about it

The 95 and ups i thought didn't have secondary intake butterfly. If they do have them it will allow the air to flow far easier but may take some of your low end torque away, since that is what the butterflies are for. Either wiring harness you choose isn't going to be a perfect fit, but at least you would know all the connectors would be the same if you continued to use all 95' stuff.

from what i understand the s14 harness is somehow 2 peices?i think the s13 harness will be the right fit for the car, and i *believe* the s13 ecu will also work.can anyone confirm this?will all the same sensor connectors be used if i use an s13 harness?thanks so much
