ka-e to ka-de swap problems

i have a couple of questions as i have a couple of problems.

car is a 89 coupe and parts are from 92 hatch.

problems are:

1. the doch tach doesn't move fluidly its jumpy.2. clock light doesn't work but actual clock works.3. trip/odometer is not working either, but speedo works, digital hud is working properly and reading a speed.

also the car is 180 out on the distro.1 and 4 is changed, could that be the caused.if so, how do i fix the 180 out on the distro.

Sounds like a bad cluster... the trip odo. and clock problems are what I'm having problems with too. I have a 90 hatch with a 95 de btw. check your ditributor placement and your firing order. the ditributor can be inverted 180 degrees.

i'm going to try the 180 thing tomorrow.but the clock i read somewhere it might be a light bulb but we'll see when i open it up again, but the odo works sometimes, works for a bit and than stops.

as far you have to get into the car you would be better off replacing the cluster. my trip odo did that for awhile then stopped entirely.

well now i have a short somewherecar doesn't start.
