Alright so i'm new to the forum and to working on nissans, (but i've been reading a researching for a couple of months trying to figure things out.) i'm thinking about swapping out my E for a DE cause my E has about 200,000 on it. There are just a few questions that i can't find answers to, or i don't fully understand the answers that i have found. so here goes:1. Can i use my KAE transmission with the DE? (from what i've read i think i can, i'm just looking for a solid answer.)2. Will i need both E and DE wiring harnesses to do the swap?3. What if not all parts are interchangeable for the E to DE?(intake and exhaust manifolds, distributor cap, ect...) Any help would be great.

1. yes the transmission's are the same.

2. you will need the de harness and ecu for the de engine. remove SOHC engine, wire harness and ecu.

3. nothing on the e will interchange with thie de. try to find a complete take out from someone who swapped for an sr or somthing

there is a great writeup on the swap

zerothread?id=162443

basically everything youll need to know is there.

honesly im doing the same exact swap as we speak but i have a complete donor car, and im also removing all emmissions and redoing the engine bay while engine is out so ill take a while.

do you have a donor car?? if not then MAKE SURE you get the power steering lines and resiviour from a 91-94 if you want power steering.

good luck bro!
