ok I have the motor out of my car and im planing a total rebuild.... This is probably a bad question but can I order main and rod bearings now or do I need to tear apart my motor. Also what about the different "grades" of bearings? one last question, could someone please check my list and make sure ive covered everything- machine work

HybridKa.Com -main and rod bearings -high vol. oil pump -timing kit

-probe industries forged pistons w/ pins- "name brand" rings (not sure what kind yet)-water pump-shaved crank-balance rotating assembly

As far as head stuff goes I already have a fully re-built head ( new valves, 3 angle v/j, shaved, new guides and seats, im also attempting to polish out the exhaust and port match the intake) I also have a Fel-Pro perma torque head set ( full gasket set) and fel pro head bolts..... any suggestions as far as what rod bolts to use would be nice. BTW its a Ka-e. Sorry for such a long post but its kinda like measure twice, cut once with this much money. Thanks everyone.

The bearing size should be determined by your machinist, this is the only way to get the exact size you need without ordering bearings that are to much "undersize". This is the only proper way to do it, and i am reluctant to sell bearings unless you are sure via advice of your machinist. You dont want to grind a crankshaft more than what is needed.

Your list looks rather complete, you will be having your parts at machine shop anyways, so get the crank there soon along with your rods (bringing rods is good idea, just incase they need to be resized). They will have the oem spec on the journals and be able to tell you if you need STD, .010, .020, or .030" undersize bearings. Parts ship very quickly from my shop (2-3 days).
