I have an BUILT SOHC but want to start on a project KA-T... Therefore DOHC necessary... I have read and heard of many people using SOHC pistons and such in a DOHC block and i was wondering just how far the compatability went... I was wondering if i had a DOHC front timing cover, head, distributor and all that stuff... as in everything but the block could my SOHC block and aftermarket pistons work? Stupid question but for future boosting i'm willing to sound stupid..

some moddification is nessisary to timing covers , other then that everything suppoibly lines up fairly well. However when people have tried the head swap in the past no one has actualy gotten it working from what ive seen. If you search the KA forum for something like "ok guys here is proof"
