KA Driveshaft w/ SR20

Went to install my stock KA driveshaft which is stock 5spd off my 92 hatch onto my SR20DET and there is about .5-1.0" gap. If it bolts to the VLSD there is a 1" gap from the transmission input. Is it normally like that? I don't have a dust collar on now, but the driveshaft should still be snug. BTW my driveshaft fit fine with my KA after I swapped the VLSD in. Anyone with sound advice chime in. Thanks.

its fine you should have room for it to move...you dont want it tight
