ka dohc and sohc temp sensors the same?

does anyone know off the top of their head if the coolant temp sensor for the ka24de and ka24e are the same? i think mine might be bad on my dohc motor and i have one that is on a sohc motor that i took out.

I checked for a code on the ecu and it gave me 13, which is the coolant temp sensor, but i checked for codes right after i had disconnected the temp sensor and ran the car to see if some of my surging and bogging might go away(didnt help). So i reset the computer and now its not throwing the code. Does it usually take acouple of days before the computer will throw a code?

I dont think they are the same... thats according to a parts store website though

besides giving the code of 13, it also gave 34 (knock sensor)but after i turned it back to mode I, and then back to mode II,, it gave code 55(everythings okay). So i dont know if the knock sensor is bad too? Can anyone clarify?
