ka cranks but wont start, no spark no injector pulse HELP!

i have a 90 240 that i recently put a 96 ka24de into, i had a customharness made by chase bays for the swap.. all wiring is done correctly and everything is connected to the proper spots, changed dizzy cap and rotor but still no spark or inhector pulse. yes i know im a noob but i need help so it would be greatly appreciated... thanks in advance

grab a test light or a multi meter and start back tracking your wire harness till you find voltage and see where your losing it. could be the harness, could be the cpu.

i have a multi meter but where should i start? i used a lil light bulb to test the injector pulse and it didnt light up.. bare with me im a naive teenager

Never use a test light on a component that is connected to the ecu!
You will need a noid light to check for pulse, a normal bulb is too slow.

ok, checked pretty much everything all the way back.. theres a relay right next to where the harness plugs into the ecu and when the car cranks the relay gets hot, this leads my dad to believe theres an open circuit.. but where? sorry i cant post pics atm bc my computer is broken so im posting from my phone

check your grounds. Ive come across as problem with at least the injector pulse because of a loose ground. good luck!

96ka on 90 body.. Make sure u check crank positikn sensor on top of the trans. S13 ka had it inside the distributor. Obd2 changed it to transmission. Double check that also, accorfing to fsm.

already have the sensor on top of transmission.. i cant post pics bc my computer is broken ive been posting from my phone

edit: and my grounds are good ive checked them numerous times

still need help.. master tech at cherry hill nissan pointed me in the direction of a new ecu.. but still just cranks, no spark, no injector pulse.. please if theres anyone in the south jersey area that is good with wiring, come help me and we'll cook you a nice meal and get your beer of choice, i really need this car back.. cant go through my senior year without a car

sounds like a def possibility, no spark and no injectores. if all the wiring is sound then an ecu swap may be in order.

Have you checked for power to the ecu? Codes? The ecu has to be on to give spark or injector pulse signal. Do you have power and ground at the cas? If ecu is on, then the cas (in the distributor) must be working to give you inj pulse and spark. Does the eccs relay (on s14 its by the ecu) work? Do you know how to test a relay? are you getting power to the eccs relay? ”I checked everything” is to vague and obviously you haven't otherwise the car would be running. Post what you HAVE tested and maybe we can guide you through the rest.
