Ok I just got my ka running i got to what seems like all air bleed out of it but the temp stays at normal for about a 30 minute drive or 20 some odd mile a rises but if i turn the heater fan it seems to help, if my clutch fan weak? And the only think different the higher compression pistons with a none tuned engine it runs fine just a lil idle issues as well. any info would be appreciated.

lol what electric fan, I have clutch fan. But I think in theory I fixed the problem by accident. My car wouldnt idle right cause I didnt block off one of the hard vacuum line when deleting the egr. So I plugged it and it idled fine idles so well you couldnt here the car run. Well I was thinking that the bad idle 500 to 1k jumping back and forth like it was gonna die.Wasnt allowing good coolant flow and leaving air pockets, so with a consistent idle the air was finally bleed out thus showing the correct temp. Is that possible? I was planning on an Altima electric fan setup.

well i wanna go back to the idea of a bad thermostat, cause Ive been driving the car for awhile and it was running cool until the end of the day it starts to rises then drop again but no signs of a massive heat like the time my head gasket had a crack in it, the coolant got so hot it made the puck tank soft.

Try checking the water/coolant mixture? I'm not sure if you buy the premixed or whatnot, but that could possibly cause an issue. Other things could be clogged radiator and/or thermostat. Is the nipple on the thermostat on top when it was installed?

Unless you removed it you have an electric fan (AC) as well. In front of the radiator.

well i removed the ac from the car when i done the kade swap in my 240, but i did notice that it was running kinda hot going to a trip to johnson city and so i felt the radiator, it wasnt cool but no heat at all i could touch with no burn, so i dont think is stopped up. Only guess is the thermostat is getting stuck?

Drive it for a bit and when your temperature gauge starts to rise, feel the upper and lower radiator hose if you can. If the top is hot and the bottom is A LOT cooler, its most likely a blockage in your radiator. Hot being able to touch it, but not hold on for more than a couple seconds.

If your thermostat is stuck closed, after warming up your vehicle, crank the heat and fan. If it still blows hot, you're still getting circulation meaning that its working as intended. If it blows cold, and your temp gauge is still high, its most likely your thermostat is bad.

Ok when i got home from work i felt the both the upper and lower radiator hoses and the top one i could stand the heat for about 3 seconds the lower about 6 seconds. I ran the heater when it started to show signs of over heating on the gauge it was blowing hot air but then them temp dropped on the gauge and then the heat dropped a little be too. Soo could it bit that i got a lil clog or a very late opening thermostat

Well I found out i didnt put the thermostats nipple to the top and i flushed the rad with a water house not much of anything but grey stuff is very small amounts, I installed all back in and let it running with a funnel in the neck of the rad. Well as the coolant circulated it was smackn the inside of the rad so i stop the car put the cap on it stop the sound and the houses were just about the same temp by feel and no overheat as of yet going to work and see if anything else turns up.

ok new radiator did the trick, got a copper one for 120 and it had a spot to use the thermostatic switch for the a/c unit can i use that for my electric fans when ever I put them in?
