Hey everyoneI just got my 1st nissan last week (s13) and the coolant looks almost as old as I am. I found the drain plug on the radiator, but where is the drain plug on the engine block that I read about in the car's factory manual (or lack thereof)?Sorry for such a lame question, but I searched and found nothing so, I had to.

Drain plug....nope.

Easiest thing to do is remove the water neck and the thermostat (you should probably replace it if it's that nasty) and all the remaining engine coolant will drain out.

Or you could take the drain plug out of the rad and leave the rad cap on, it creates a vaccum and pretty much sucks the coolant out but takes a little bit longer, and make sure you crack the bleeder valve when you are filling it back up

all nissan blocks have a drain plug on them. on the KA find the #3 exhaust runner, and follow that straight down the head to the block. about the middle of the block there will be the drain plug. it is next to one of those giant circle freeze plugs pressed into the block (theres 2 freeze plugs on that side of the engine). remember to put sealant on that plug when you put it back in and that when you open that plug... the coolant goes where it wants :cwm27 .... so be ready...
