Ka compressor

Ok every one got a question i think that my old mechanic is trying to do the prison dance with me again but not sure. He told me that the stock Ka Compressor wouldnt bolt up to the Sr. He told me Some do and some dont. I thought that this was weird but then again nothing suprises me any more. So any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

DOHC comp bolts up wiht 2 holes i think

my 93 bolted up with 2 holes.

(It's factory R134A if that matters)

My 93 bolts with 2 fronts. Remember not 2 tops, 2 bottoms, 2 backs, but 2 fronts. Perfect alignment too.

My blacktop(s13) a/c bracket didn't line up with my KA (s14) compressor at all. The holes on the bracket were slanted and offset. I bought a redtop bracket off the sale section and all four holes were square allowing all 4 bolts to line up.

I don't know about the S13's. But a S14 ka compressor will not bolt up to a s14 sr20det Blktop. None of the holes would line for a proper fit. I had to fab a bracket.
