I'm in the process of building a project car (think awd locost 7  ) and am looking at drive train options. I want to run a r32/33 transmission with a ka24. This probably sounds pointless but I'm going to be registering this car in California and need the engine to be usdm so I can make it through the nightmare that is special construction vehicle registration.

Anyways, I have read that the rb bell housing can be swapped onto a ka trans (including internals and input shaft). I don't see any reason why putting a ka bell housing on a rb trans should not work but is there any reason it shouldn't. I'm making custom drive shafts so length concerns do not apply

I just sent you a PM on locost. To answer your question though, you can mate a z32 bell housing to a rb box with minimal work. From there you can get a adapter to go from a z32 bell to an sr, ka, or ca. I'm going SR to RB and am planning on using a Mazworx adapter.
