KA + awd? does it work?

ok. stick with me on this one. i found an awd transmission from a jdm bluebird here in south carolina, its in good condition, but the engine it was imported with seems to have been sold off. i know it was designed to work with the sr20, but is there a way to make the KA work with the BB transmission? if anybody has any ideas or knows anything about this id love to know if i should keep considering buying the transmission or put it out of my mind. the possibility is driving me nuts.

AWD is "tied" to the motor, it's tied to the drivetrain beyond the motor. Think transmission/diff/transfer box.

That said, there's been plenty of AWD discussions before .... so out comes the lock.
