I believe the grooves on the pulley are different, but everything lines up alright and also the ka alt. has a lower voltage output

The KA alternator has 1 less groove than the SR. The SR pulley sticks out too far, so you don't need a washer.

What I did, is machine rear of the hub on the SR pulley,(I'm sorry, I can't remember how much,I believe it's half the width of one groove,) to get the belt to line up.

After that, the pulley will hit the body of the alternator. So, you have to machine the rear face of the pulley to clear the body of the alternator.

Pully swaps right over, all you need to do is drill out the bottom bolt hole little bit and it bolts right up.

just did it to my det. I took a ka24de alt. Removed the pully and a thin dust cover that it has. drilled out the middle of a washer to fit on the shaft. put the sr pully on. drille the treads out the top hole. good to go no problems
