KA 24 Single Cam Front oil cover problems

My oil pump isn't pumping enough oil on startup. The front cover is $440 from the dealer. My mechanic thinks I might need a new one or else there might be a leak of a clog somewhere. Is this a common problem?

$440 for the front timing cover?? dude that too much. I bought mine for like $240 and was an original one. I read that some people replaced the spring on the oil pump to get more pressure.

there are some internet sites that sales oem parts, one sells the cover for like $125

It turned out that my oil pump was weak during startup. Oil pump is $118.
