K26 turbos?

I can get my hands on a free K26 KKK turbo in perfect condition (love german engineering). I'm wondering if anyone knows where i can get more info on them or some compressor maps? my search didnt turn up much besides that its a T3/04 hybrid type turbo (wierd, cause this turbo is off an 86 audi). It supposed to have a standard flange on it too.

also, i would like to mount my IC inside the engine bay, probably in front of the radiator or where the a/c condensor used to be. any thoughts? i'm thinking that with so much less piping lag/response would be better.

Its in German and uses metric units.lb/min / 132 = kg/scfm / 2120 = m^3/s

If its the same turbo that is stock on the 86-87 944 turbos (ive owned two). It will push around 280 whp and hold 15 psi to redline, Ive pushed it above 20 psi but the boost fall off after peak torque. however the 88-89's have a K26s so they have variations to this turbo so I would look into it first, mayeb they have a smaller turbine on the audis. They also have funky flanges but a machine shop can make one for you and they are normally externally gated.

that came off an audi 5000 or an audi 200...its kinda small but to me im used to like t4 turbo's...anywho..it will work...the stock audi ext. wastegate comes set at 14.5psi stock...ive been trying to find one of those audi gates for awhile and its hard to find one....anywho...it will work

its off a 5000, my buddy told me it was a little late on the spool on the 2.2L 5 cyl engine, but would prolly do nicely on a 2.4L
