I *think* there is a suspension section where people will be able to answer your question. Otherwise, try posting in the 240SX forums.

this is totally the wrong section but oh well, kts is crap and jic will break on you. Don't buy either. If you have the ability to save up some money then buy zeal.

K-Sport and JIC suck ***. Fact. Not Opinion.

KTS is great for what it is.

he said k sport, not KTS

like russell said (beat me to it), for what they are, KTS are very well built coilovers, youd need to move up to the zeals or the high end apex'i, or something similar, before youre going to find anything better really

if you can spend $2,000 or more on coilovers though by all means go right ahead

as for the two youre asking about, im not a fan of k sport, ive heard mixed reviews depending on who you ask...the jic's though i really havent heard much good about

I reccomend the KTS's, great coils and relatively inexpensive.

Stay away from JIC. One of the coilovers they shipped me had a bad damper, Took them forever to exchange it.

not really, ive never thought of flta-2s as anything more than tein flex or something of that sort

its not as much the coilovers themselves as it is the entire companyn that produces the horror stories

depends on budget

if you want to spend less than $1,800, kts

http://www.splparts.com/

if you want to spend more than that, its really up to you, but its not hard to find good coilovers over that price level

like i said its not hard to find good ones, but yes bad ones will exist still

do you want to spend that much? in that case id say like zeals, apex'i n1 evo, theres so much more, it depends on budget

if you want to spend 7 or 8,000 on a set i can help you find those too

let me know your budget and ill list off some to look for

i am going need the shock mount to b interchangable because i know i will be doing the 5 lug conversion with the brake upgrade later on but i want to install the coilovers now. some coilovers dont sell the lower shock mount for the z32(because they are welded to the whole shock) so i want a coilovers that offer that option

on a pseudo budget, go with KTS. if you want real control and a solid ride, get zeals like I did, or source some ohlins. it really depends on how muchyou're willing to drop on coilovers and how streetable you want your ride to be.

for right around 2000 you could get cusco, but like conti said at that point you spend 500 more and you have a set of zeal or apex'i n1 evo, something a lot nicer

those are their entry level coilovers, youre better off with kts

the only other coilovers ive heard people like as much as kts in that price range are the silk roads from phase 2, and those are 300 more

silk road makes great product, way past entry level. I want to know whathotboy actually hopes to get out of these coilovers. at this point, my feelingis that the discussion in this thread has not covered anything technical aboutthe coil and dampner sets because it is lacking any real information as perwhat kind of adjustability / drivability / rebuildability that he wants / needs /or is doing the kind of driving to require.

this is not to say that you shouldn't get coilovers, this is to say you should geta more realistic grasp of what you want out of the set up and what you planon doing in addition to just the coil and dampner to get any real benefit outof a thread like this. I think fly and most others will agree with me on this.

i just want coilovers that are good for drifting and daily driving. sorta like 50/50. im sorta leaning with KTS cuz i read a lot of other threads and ive heard nothing but great reviews about them. the only thing bad that read about KTS is that they are a little stiff and i could care less i just want quality but dont need the best. hope that helps u guys help me for the other stuff like spring rates and stuff i wouldnt know what i want cuz im kind of a newb when it comes to coilovers. One major thing i want to know about KTS is if their coilovers have removable lower shock mounts so i can change them when i do the z32 brakes

Silk Road RM-A8's are great and so are GP-Sports GR-6's. Both are around $1400. KTS's are great also. Also for the $800 and less category Megan>K-Sports. K-Sports suck ***...

Tanabe discontinued all of their good coilovers to make that jerkoff adjustable dampning one.

Get the KTS. You obviously won't notice the difference between them as long as they don't belong in the trashcan like k Sport.
