i have them right now since november. the softest setting is fairly stiff. if you want new suspension then i would recommend coilovers . if you want coilovers i would recommend stance GR. thats what im going with in about a month. the only reason i got k sports was due my rear struts were shot and it was really annoying. just keep saving.

I have KSports now and basically all I can say is they are "Bouncy" in my opinion. Now it isn't cut stock spring Bouncy but there is some kind of bounce feeling to them. These came on my car. As soon as I get 3/5 of the money for New Coilovers, STANCE Gr+ Pro's, I will sell the Ksports for the remaining 2/5's of the price. Not a bad coilover set to go with, I am happy with them in general. I would just like to better my setup.

I have had K-sports for over a year now and I think they are pretty good for the money.

They are superbly constructed, all aluminum billet mounts and perches. Rubber coated springs.

The springs are a little stiff which gives you a very stiff ride but I in no way compare it to spring-cut ricer bounce. My driver side rear dampner blew out do to setting the dampner too soft but they replaced it for free under warranty.

I think will a little more R&D and better springs these will be quite the budget coilover.

This is the oldest question in the book... cheap coilovers or spring/shock setup. For $695 shipped, the price is good. It just depends on what you want to do. I autocross monthly so I have Ksports in the mail right now because I want the adjustability and spring rates of coilovers. My work commute is only 5 miles total per day, so I don't need the soft springs of a spring/shock combo. I'm not a jdm-Tyte mad slide scientist drifter, so I don't have to worry about every part on my car being able to take a curb hit sideways at 97 miles per hour. Now the question is: Will 700$ coilovers+ sway bars+ ruca's +Nismo underbrace+ strut bars handle better than a set of Cusco's?

Are they as good as Cusco's, hell no.Are they better than a Eibach pro-kit and kyb's, Hell Yes

they do a good job. but as said they are bouncy. but if that doesnt bother then go for it. they are pretty good for the price you pay. but dont be surprised when you put em on and are like" damn this IS bouncy". its actually not that bad when you upwards of 40mph. they ride better imho.

That's what my wife said when she rode in the car.

My friend has K-sports on his S14. The low speed damping is HORRIBLE, and this causes incredible bounciness at daily city driving speeds.

He tracks his car, however, and does say that the high speed damping is adequate on a track, and at highway speeds.

Personally, I'd go with Stance GR+ or KTS if you're looking for a budget setup.

as far as i know the only cheap coilovers are from megan racing and k-sport. i would go with the k-sports over megan. but this is basically a budget setup. i will be going with stance just cause they are the best thing for under $1400. and many agree.

For expensive coilovers, JIC, Silk Road, and Stance make great stuff.

KTS are good when you buy them but like the SPL arms, the KTS coilovers need lots of care or else they'll go bad in a year's time.

Hey, I just put my Ksports on yesterday. I like 'em. Right now I have them in the middle of dampening to see what they are like. I still have to get an alignment, but the ride home was awesome. I've been on blown stock struts for about a year, so I'm super impressed. I do have limited experience with other coilovers. I've only ridden in cars with D2's and KTS. The Ksports are way, way better than the D2's, even though they are suppese to be the same. They feel similar to the KTS, not quite the same, although it could be the owner had an rb20 on 14 psi and Tomei 2way chirping on sharp turns.

Anyway, I like the Ksports. I picked them because:1. I'm enlisted Air Force = poor2. My total miles per month are about 300 per month3. I only autocross 1-2 times per month, so I needed coilovers over spring/shock combo.

The two biggest "care" items that the KTS coilovers need are:

1) Put anti-seize compound on the threaded body, or they WILL rust and seize. Clean the road debris that accumulates on them often, and re-apply as necessary

2) Every weeek or so, run up and down the damping adjustment so that the knobs don't seize up like mine did.

Also, the lower mounts rusted on mine -- I'm not entirely sure that there's a way to prevent this, although you could try either getting them re-coated or clearcoat them, or putting some protective oil on them to prevent exposure.

I have had 2 friends local that have had problems one had a dampener leaking after a 3 months and it seized up and the other had one leaking after 7 months. They were fixed under warrantee but one friend sold them off and the other is sticking with them. I tried to talk them out of them but they said they were cheap and looked well constructed. I tried to get them to spend a few hundred more on something that would last a little longer. They seemed to ride well until they crapped out.

If its all your budget will allow go with them.

That's one thing I like about my K-Sports vs most other coilovers, the mounts and hardware are all made from 6061 aluminum which means no worries about rust. The threaded valve body is chromoly steel which has a higher resistance to rust. Sure the valving may be inferior to top level brands giving you a harsher ride during DD operations but you can rest assured that they won't sieze on you or rust out and fall apart.
