K&N Typhoon in 3.5 Coupe in California

Hello guys, just bought a 2008 Altima Coupe today and i wanna install a K&N Typhoon 69 CAI. My question is, is it legal here in California? Borla or Nismo exhaust? I just want a deep bass sound exhaust. Thanks in advance.

NISMO should be okay. K&N says it's not California legal, but that's only because California hasn't specifically approved it. It shouldn't affect your emissions in the slightest, and, if your driving behavior doesn't change, it should improve your fuel economy.

Go for it. With identical driving styles (80-90% highway, mind you), I saw a 2mpg gain after putting the intake on.

You can get it much cheaper off eBay. That's where I got mine from.

Also, I'm in CT, which follows the CA guidelines. No troubles yet, and I don't anticipate having any.

Just ordered a Nismo exhaust for my 11 sr3.5 coupe yesterday. sounded like it was the best choice. Pd., w/free ship: $500, they had it left sitting around for a while : (unused, etc. ...). Do not know if they have another. Earnhardt Nissan in AZ. - 800-446-7193.

the nismo exhaust is nasty. i have it on my 09 3.5SE. real deep sounding and very tough. always get complemented on the sound. i also have the typhoon in it but im in pa so not sure what cali regulations are. but definitely nismo for the exhaust.
