Thanks Lino, I'll prob. use the infiniti air filter then.lino wrote:Watch the level of your suspension level and see if there are any visible leaks.
Many members here don't like the K&N filters drop-in or the cone for the Q. I have only used oem. Do a search as this subject has been brought up many times before.
When the code is displayed it blinks in a continuous cycle. Why do you have to look up and down? You just look into the instrument cluster, count the blinks and match up the code.HenryG35 wrote:
for the ACTSUS, I gave up trying to write down the code since it is impossible to look up and down recording the blinks (it went on for at least 3-4 mins)....
Please keep us updated with this.HenryG35 wrote:.... I went underneath the car and couldn't find any leak on the the suspension at all. Will check to level again in couple weeks. - Thanks again.
The transmission fluid should be changed regularly. I have read once every 12 months. Check out the following link:HenryG35 wrote:One more question, should I flush/replace trans. fluid ? it is reluctant passing the 40mph mark...little more gas then it rev and back to the normal ecceleration...normal?
Here are the pics:
I flush every 25k to 30k miles ... so it it closer to 18-24 months for me.lino wrote:The transmission fluid should be changed regularly. I have read once every 12 months.
The OEM air intake system is just about as close to perfect as you can get - plenty of airflow, great sound, and unlike some of the aftermarket products, it doesn't draw in hot air from inside the engine compartment!lino wrote:Many members here don't like the K&N filters drop-in or the cone for the Q. Hey, I keep hearing about this "Joe" guy....who is he? Can I get any contact information for this guy because I would like to purchase parts from him? Thanks.Skibane wrote:

The original-equipment Nissan paper filters tend to get dirty real quick, but Joe sells them cheap - not much point in using anything else, IMO.
I myself have an K&N air filter in my Y33 and I haven't had any problems with it. When I purchased the car, it was already installed but I can truthfully say that I will not go out of my way to purchase one. If you don't let the oil DRY, it will cause problems. I usually clean mine later in the day and let it dry overnight and put it back in the morning.HenryG35 wrote:Hello again, solved my ACTsus issue by filling up the fluid and AC just started working again by itself (knock on wood).
Anyhow, now the fine tune part, I'm thinking of putting a K&N replacement air filter in (not the cone), anyone use those? good/bad? all of my Z's have cones and G35 has the replacement, but not sure if it works for the Q - thanks

Thanks guys, I'll stick with OEM .... this make the Z's MAF look really tough a resiliant, I had all of my Z31's and Z32's converted to K&N cone intake and had absolute no problem with the MAF ever....VJ1 wrote:As you know, the K&N filters have to be cleaned and recharged with the recommended oil. With the MAF so close to the filter, alot of that oil can and will get sucked into the intake, thus coating the MAF with this film. This will lead to various performance problems. I've tossed both my K&N's and reverted to OEM because I'm not a fan of constantly cleaning the MAF.Vandi.
