alright i found a cheap K&N style filter at autozone the only problem is it didn't come with any type of mount for the o2 temp sensor. i tried to instal it without the sensor but she didn't run too well...can i do anything without installing a cold air intake:spam

You can mount it anywhere near the cone, because that is around the same temperature air that is sucked into the intake.

you need a nissan MAF adaptor plate. most places that sell performance parts can get them. probably like 10-20$

Are you talking about the mass airflow sensor? If so, you need to get an adapter to attach the filter to the metal housing that the sensor sits in. It SHOULD have come with your K&N kit, but if not they're pretty easy to find.

its bolts to the MAF using the square 4 bolt pattern, and has a cylindrical end that you clamp the filter to.
