Hi. I own a K&N air filter and was talking with someone about a K&N oil filter (They Don't Own a Versa)

I was reading about them but couldn't get the info I was looking for. I know with the air filter those things don't need replacement just re-oil every 50,000 miles which I just did pretty easy.

But is the oil filter the same way do they just keep going and going or better yet has anyone had any expierence with them. Thanks

I do believe the oil filter is a sealed type container so replacement is recommended.

Yes, there is no such thing as a reuseable/lifetime oil filter. All oil filters should at least be changed every 5k miles if not sooner.

I wouldn't wait 50,000 miles to re-oil the air filter. Maybe, 5 or 10K. That's 3-4 years of driving without any cleaning or re oiling.

WOW 3-4 years no way, I've had my 08 versa for just a little over 2 years and I've already got 90,000 miles on it.

Got the air filter though at 50,000 miles soo... 40,000 miles a little extreme but couldn't find the stuff or the time until recently.

Thanks, I was wondering about those oil filters?

Do they make any difference though like the air filter, I know they are two very different things.

They have done studies on different oil filters, Google it a lot of info.

They cut the filters in half to see what each contains, the worse was the OEM Filters used.
