Thanks, man! K&N offered to install it for me when I picked it up and of course I accepted! I've been waiting months for the intake and driving that thing home was pure fun.dangeris wrote:Looks great man! Did you happen to take pics of the install at each step? Perhaps to be used on a write up (hint hint)
There's a nifty title for ya if you do a write up ya know...
Thanks! The reason why the plastic part is still there because it's actually connected to the intake itself. Here's a pic.gearhead05 wrote:Looks good. I'm diggin the black. You're right, it does go well with the rest of the engine bay.
Sorry for a thread jack but I see that you still have those plastic things on. After putting on my intake it seemed pointless to have them on because nothing was connected to them and the one piece was just loose and floppy, so I just took them out. Did anyone else take them out?
I will pretty soon, but on a 2.5S of course. I'm hoping to get the chance to install the kit this weekend.marlin29311 wrote:Does anyone one have the K&N and SBD's grounding kit? I'm kinda worried about the throttle body wire with that on...just curious!
There's no rubbing issues at all, that's why I took the last picture.mpbclutch33 wrote:The MAF sensor looks to be in the same place as the 1st generation Injen Intake that had rubbing issues, does it not? Yeah..... I could see maybe $240 or so for it, but not over $300!
well i dropped my car off for some R&D awhile back and picked up the intake this morning, not to mention i have the SBD groudning kit, and no problems here. i'll take a picture when i'm not at workmarlin29311 wrote:Does anyone one have the K&N and SBD's grounding kit? Had no issues installing the grounding kit with my K&N intake.marlin29311 wrote:Does anyone one have the K&N and SBD's grounding kit? I'm kinda worried about the throttle body wire with that on...just curious!
The part number on the K and N website for the 3.5 is 69-062TTK. I think that you have to find a K and N dealer near you. There is a search button within the K and N website when you hit buy, it asks for your location and it tells you the closest shops that sell K and N products.jmack wrote:and which kit is it?
