Do you guys know when the intake is coming out?? I DO!

My first impressions were outstanding. At 2500+ RPM that thing roars and sounds just like a G35, engine-wise. What I most like about the intake is the sound it makes after I shift up to the next gear and accelerate, it gives that subtle deep tone to it. It doesn't have a metal droning sound to it and like I said, it sounds similar to the tone of a G35's engine. Also I'm digging intake's black color, it goes really well with the entire engine bay. Here's the link to K&N's website .

Looks great man! Did you happen to take pics of the install at each step? Perhaps to be used on a write up (hint hint)

There's a nifty title for ya if you do a write up ya know...

Looks good. I'm diggin the black. You're right, it does go well with the rest of the engine bay.

Sorry for a thread jack but I see that you still have those plastic things on. After putting on my intake it seemed pointless to have them on because nothing was connected to them and the one piece was just loose and floppy, so I just took them out. Did anyone else take them out?

Thanks, man! K&N offered to install it for me when I picked it up and of course I accepted! I've been waiting months for the intake and driving that thing home was pure fun.

Thanks! The reason why the plastic part is still there because it's actually connected to the intake itself. Here's a pic.

I'd be down for an AEM intake despite the price if they happened to make one for the 2.5

Intake looks good though

Does anyone one have the K&N and SBD's grounding kit? I'm kinda worried about the throttle body wire with that on...just curious!

The MAF sensor looks to be in the same place as the 1st generation Injen Intake that had rubbing issues, does it not? Yeah..... I could see maybe $240 or so for it, but not over $300!

I will pretty soon, but on a 2.5S of course. I'm hoping to get the chance to install the kit this weekend.

There's no rubbing issues at all, that's why I took the last picture.

Cost me nothing but a lot at the same time, wanna know why? After dropping off my car at K&N for the first time then heading home, got a ticket for not yielding by CHP. Yesterday went to go pick up my intake, was cruising at 80mph with traffic and got pulled over by CHP for going 86mph. Never going to Riverside ever again.

That's pretty bad... Sorry to hear about those tickets. However I'm sure the intake made up for some of it?

Anyone know anything on the price of this... I called a few local shops who thought I was crazy and said K and N doesn't make that. Others said it won't be available for a few months.

Link might be dead, I was able to use it a few days ago and it worked fine. Just go to the K and N website through google and you can search for it.

The part number on the K and N website for the 3.5 is 69-062TTK. I think that you have to find a K and N dealer near you. There is a search button within the K and N website when you hit buy, it asks for your location and it tells you the closest shops that sell K and N products.

I have been trying to get in their website and just can not. I tried different ways, using the link provided in this thread, google it and nothing. Something is wrong with their site.

Those who have trouble getting on their site, try again. I believe it is back up and running.

is there any need to worry about water getting into the filter?

It's pretty much impossible for water to get in the intake unless the whole car is submerged in water.

In Canada I found one for around $370 + tax (Canadian of course). The Injen is about $350. So it is respectably priced although still think it's pretty expensive. Hope that helps for a rough estimate.

I've been running this for a few months now. The car will get louder as time goes. I dont know why, but for some reason now I hear the intake more at WOT. When the intake was first put on, you couldnt hear a whole lot of a difference. My mid range and top end got a lil better too.

Do you feel it is better than the Fujita?

I thought the fujita added about 10whp?
