I have read the K&N install on the "installation page" but I believe thats for a 2.5 motor. Lets just say I did everything correctly as shown on the K&N instruction manual that came with the intake.

I have a 3.5 motor with manual trans and my problem that I'm having is that I have a small tube (its called "air breather hose") that looks like it goes into the top of the transmission. I have no idea where that plugs into on the intake itself. Both instructions on this site and the K&N instructions doesn't say anything about that hose. As of now, I have it plugged up. Car seems to run find for now.

Does anyone have any idea where it goes or could I just leave it plugged? All your help is greatly appreciated.

The hose I'm talking went under the original air box and connects to the top of the transmission. The hose that your talking about I believe is the vent hose that connects to the intake tube assembly. The hose thats under the air box is smaller in diameter compared to the other hose as seen in the pic below.

that hose is called the "air breather hose" i found someone in the tutorial that had the same problem, but was wondering if he left the hose without a filter attached to it?

generic808 mentions in the very last portion of the injen intake install: http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=296451

i just need to know where and what do you do with that extra hose. thanks again for everyones help.

I just put my Injen intake on. Keep in mind that mine is a 2.5S CVT, but I noticed the same hose. There is no place for it to connect to the stock air box. My conclusion: leave it alone.
