I remember reading many posts that say a K&N filter drop in filter is probably the best as far as intakes go. They're not that expensive too, as compared to a whole intake setup. You can re-use the k&n filter, just have to clean it.I got it in my '07. I can't notice any power diffrences.

I run the drop ins on my 07. Didn't notice any gains but knowing I can pull them out and clean them instead of having to buy new filters is nice.I recommend them

It could cause you some problems if you over oil it or don't oil it enough. I live in a very hot and dusty area and the oil in the filter would dry out very quicklycausing the filter to fail @ doing its job. the right amount is a hit or miss proposition at best. If its not giving any HP gain just a more "throaty" sound why risk voidingyour factory warranty? saving $20 on fresh factory filters seems foolish to me after spending 20+ grand on a car.... IMHO Its Your dime.....

So i should just buy a new intake like the typhoon kit or Injen or sumthing but the duelintake system instead of just replacing filters

I have the drop in's if you want to buy them. Like new, only used for a couple months, replaced with JWT duo pop. I'm in Orange County and make my way to SD for work a few times a week. Let me know if your interested, will let both of them go for 60.00.
