Hey just wanted to see if anyone had a use for a used 02-06 Infiniti K&N Air Filter Part No. 33-2229.

I bought a new one for my M45 and the car already had one in it. I will clean it and send it out for a reasonable cost, if someone would like to get it.

Everyone should please remember the caveats about oiled air filters and what they tend to do to MAF's on Nissan and Infiniti cars ... YMMV, of course.

I have one instock...

I may just put it on for fun...

But I am happy with the stock one and they are cheap enough...

according to the previous owner of my car it has been installed for the last 35k miles.

he had no worries, and it seems to work great.

just wanted to help someone out with a good filter.

Understood ... but everyone needs to make this decision in an informed way!

Do a comprehensive search for this filter on our forum and you will find posts and info that show how, over time, minute vaporized oil particles get into the air stream, coat the MAF, and lead to drivability problems. Again, this does not happen instantly (unless the filter is overloaded with oil!), but the long-term prognosis is not good, unfortunately.

So which air filter do you recommend? Also, I own a FUJITA intake, and it came with an air-filter...don't know which kind...but when I want to replace the filter in the long run (too lazy to clean it), which brand do you recommend?

I am not a good person to make this recommendation, unfortunately, since I use the stock Nissan/Infiniti OEM air filter. Which works fine for me, and I change it often enough!

You can get the OEM air filters (and other stuff) for less than what dealers normally charge, by contacting Joe Tsensky at http://www.everythinginfiniti.com - let him know you are a NICO member (the price does not drop, but he goes out of his way to give you good delivery and service in case of problems).

A filter matching the size of the Fujita can be purchased from K&N / AEM / INJEN etc...

Also, any Fujita dealer can get replacement filters...
