Anybody that has a K-Mart around pay attention to see if they are closing or not. I just picked up some good oil at a cheap price because it was all marked down due to closing.

Fred,They definately did not have ANY synpower in stock. They did have some Durablend left. I think there was some Mobil 1 synthetic but I don't remember the weights as I wasn't really looking for it. It's the K-Mart on Westport and Hurstbourne Ln. It's right next to my apartment and up the street from the Tom Sawyer park that we used to have meets at. They had TONS of regular Valvoline of all kinds of weights. I also noticed a couple cases of Castrol Syn but don't remember the weights of it either. If you want I can go up there again tomorrow and check for the 0W-40 Mobil 1 Syn and pick you up some.

Our K-mart here as I know is still going for now but I think they will be out as well. I like k-mart b/c when I get layaways if stuff goes on sale it marks down the layaway....something walmart doesnt do :( The town next to me, well Algood, TN (in putnam county) I think they are the ones that are getting a Super Walmart Warehouse....we heard rumors that it could take out the Walmart we got. I remember old store we use to have, Roses...that was a cheap store to shop at here.

KMart already went belly-up once I thought?? Had to re-open as "Big K" instead and try to get Martha Stewart to sell their crap....whatever I never shop there anyway and I have no idea if I even live near one.

I havent shopped much at them either. They always seemed like a slightlymcheaper walm-mart.Walmart was usualy plenty cheap for me.

Either way I think its always sad when something that enmploys PPL goes away.I can imagine some rural locations they were the only major dept store.

But not all k marts are closing just the ones that aren't doing well. Many other will stay and some even added.

I went to our local KrapMart this weekend. All car chemicals were 10% off. What kind of sale is that?

Mobil 1 was $4.99 - 10% = BFD.

I'll hate it when our K-mart goes b/c I can get rabbit food there. I get like 10lb bag for 6 or 7bucks at Kmart. Tractor supply is TOO expensive. Be like same bag but 3 dollars more for it.

Maybe ours will be the last to go. They have cheap prices on cds as well. I like Walmart but on some cds its like $1 or 2 more. I like to save what I can and hate going over Kmart and find it like 2bucks cheaper than what I paid on somethings.

Nooo! He's not a cute innocent rabbit either. He's a lil devil!:D and he has sliced my wrist with those back feet of his before but he's still here and no before anyone says, I aint cooking my rabbit!

They just have better deals than Walmart and are cheaper. I go to them for cheaper things and such. I guess I'll go to sears some now since they are having like 40 to 85% off stuff.

Its going out as well but we dont know when. So far they are still going but I've been told and even over heard that they were going out. We know this one lady that works in the layaway department b/c she mention them laying off a bunch couple months ago. The lady knows us b/c we have got a lot of layaways before almost every year or more than 2x a year there. She asked us about drawing unemployment and said they are expected to lay some more off soon.
