OMG that is one of the most horrific accidents I have ever seen!!! was every one ok!!! it looks like that car is totaled, but that intersection hs been an accident waiting to happen for the last 10 years, maybe finally they will put in some better traffic control like they should have all along...

Actually it was just two streets, one going each way, not a split one like that...i should draw it so you know better. also, the stop signs are on the wrong side of the road chief. I just might have to see what I can do for ya all

Eh, I'm not surprised there was an accident at that intersection. Look at the signs! You can't even read them! Its like they're in a foreign language or something.

Ok...since I didn't have a camera available, and snails drawing is a little wacked...I will elaborate.

Yesterday afternoon, while in a chat, I hear a delivery truck go by my apartment...which is common because there is a warehouse accross the street from me. About two seconds later, I hear tires screech, then the sound of two cars mating together in twisted metal extacy.

I go out on my little "balcony", if you will, and see the back end of said delivery truck and what little bit I can see of a Daihatsu move...like the one snail pictured earlier. Now...for some background.

I live about 100 feet or so from a very bad corner...blind that is. The road I live on goes east-west, and at the intersection, that directions has a stop sign, but it's in a very bad place and hard to see if you don't know where to look. The road that goes north-south does not have a stop sign. So...

The delivery truck did not see the stop sign, and did not yield like most sane people would do at a blind corner, and hit the front right fender of said Daihatsu Move. The damage wasn't as bad as previously though, the driver did make an attempt to stop so the damage to his little cracker jack box on wheels was minimal.

If you look on the pic that is included, you will see on the left side of the east bound road, there are two houses. One of those houses has a concrete wall that is about 8' high, so that makes that part the blind corner.Coming west, the left side of said corner has a parking lot that is always full of cars, and hard as hell to see anything, making it a blind corner as well.

The wife read in the paper today that the driver of the delivery truck was ticketed for not stoping at a stop sign and expired vehicle inspection....which is bizzare since it is a major delivery company. Some guys have all the luck.
