Looking for some help on changing the cabin air filter on a 2013 JX35. Have seen diagrams and videos online, but not for this model. Anybody have the necessary information?

Thanks,
Erik

Instructions for your vehicle are in the FSM. Here's the direct link to the relevant manual. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/JX/2013%20JX/VTL.pdf

Just curious, but where documentation as such is coming from?

I've never seen anything like this. The recommended instruction is to "squeeze" the filter and install it. There is no way to determine if it reverts back to correct form. This is the most ridiculous place to put the filter. I've spent close to two hours trying to put the clip on cover back in place and I cannot get it to lock in place. I've been working upside down for those two hours. Decided to put it aside for tomorrow before I get mad. just frustrated at the moment. Anybody have any hints?

I can't figure out from the link sent how to change the filter. I am attaching what the link suggests below. I can't find any cover tab there on passenger side. Probably there are many crucial steps missing. Can someone help posting a pic or video? Would appreciate it. Also, what is the best after-market filter to use, or is it better the buy the original OEM to get all the features for this car.

1. Release the in-cabin microfilter cover tab (A) and remove the
cover from under the RH side of the instrument panel.
2. Remove the in-cabin microfilmer.
3. INSTALLATION: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
