I am assuming the blend door is bad, but which one is it?

The blend servos only control the temperature, they don't affect where the airflow comes out. What's busted is the mode servo. It's not difficult on your ride, it's on the driver's side behind the floor duct. See HAC-165:

thanks for the tip, I replaced it with a Nissan oem part and now I have it to blow out the front vents, but that's it, it's not switching any positions, do I need to program or relearn the new part? Or did I get a dud from ebay?

Also it seems like my blower motor isn't blowing as hard as it should. Is there somthing that I need to program on that or is there a resistor that's out somewhere?

thanks!

All 7 servos work off a common 3-wire bus (power, ground, serial data) and there are no "learn" algorithms or anything like that. So if it's the right part and installed correctly, it shouldn't have issues. Did you check the Infiniti database for the right part number, or did you buy the new one by MMY? Also, did you check the door for free movement and make sure the connecting socket in the door isn't stripped?

yep moves freely by hand, it was previously stuck blowing to the floor, now it's stuck blowing through the vents. I went off model year

do you reccomend I buy another OEM one using my VIN to rule that out?

as far as the blower motor, I assume it's time to hook up the scope and verify it's getting the correct signals? I found the procedure on the manual.

Yah, Nissan makes a crapload of lookalike servos where the only difference is programming, and there are probably multiple supersessions as well. I'd certainly doublecheck it against the VIN.

If the speed adjustment on the blower works at all then the problem won't be in the control circuit, it will be in the motor or some sort of obstruction. The motor is brushless and the control circuit is simple PWM, so it will pretty much work or not. If the PWM drive tran-sistor is blown then it simply won't adjust at all.

awesome....thanks for the help.

I am going to order the actuator from nissan

also yes the blower will blow slow and about medium but it doesn't get to high it seems....I will remove it and inspect to see what's going on with it.
