Ok so I got the ecu back from JWT and hooked it up and started the car and I got few problems. The idle is high like at 2000 so i set the IACV and its maxed out to low, after I set it, the idle is at 950rmp...vac is at 20 oil press is fine, timing is set at 19* did a boosk leak test and passed. When I drove the car it runs nice and spulls like it should (not flooring it) But when i drove oi and when just pressed the gas a lil bit the rpm go up the 2k and get stuck there for a sec or 2 and then drop down. Also when ideling the motor will run fine one second and then will like missfire for a few and then be good again for a sec???

Can you please help me out guys, I Already ran out of ideas on what it could be that is bugging my sr..Thanks in advance!

JWT ecu's are junk! We just found that to be my brothers cars problem. Boost_Boy on the CA board let us in on that. My brothers car ran good. He wanted more power and had the ecu tuned by JWT. He has drove the car a month since and thats been since last October. They tune stupid rich!

Timing is set way too high. Stock is 15* and thats what JWT should have made there tune based off. It should help the idle bringing the timing down a bit. Make sure you know your AFR and adjust it by using a FPR. These tunes are accurate timing wise but they alway go rich so they dont have to deal with customers complaining saying there tune blew up there engine. I suggest getting a wideband and set the AFR for 11.4 at WOT.

Mail order tunes are nothing more than a guess tune. It's a generic tune that'll hopefully get your engine running right. Sorry that you're having issues. If JWT doesn't fix your problem for you, you're stuck with either getting a piggy back fuel controller to hopefully fix your problem or go with another tune. I'd recommend Nistune or a full stand alone. Either way, you'll need some dyno time. Spread the word, mail order tunes are garbage!

There not just a guess tune. I used a Enthalpy Tune and then got a true dyno tune and they made within 4whp of each other. As long as the tuner knows the Cams, Injectors, MAF, Intake, Turbo, and Fuel Pressure, they can usually do a spot on tune for the timing based on the air flow of the setup provided. Ive dealt with ROM tunes from Enthalpy for 3 years and always found the fuel is the only thing that needs tweaked. And it wasnt but a couple lbs in fuel pressure to dial in the AFR. Anything beyond that and its your setup, not the tune.
