for those who own popchargers.. did you guys buy just the popcharger and then the ztube seperately? or did you buy the popcharger/ztube/ filter oil combo? are there any benefits to buying them seperately besides being able to get the ztube polished or chrome? also is the filter had to clean? and what has to be done because it is an oiled filter?

Buy the combo and do it all at once... there are recent posts on the advantages and disadvantages (mostly peoples opinions) on whether to get the plastic Ztube or chrome. Do a quick search. I personally went with plastc.

The filter is easy to install. You only have to clean it once in a while if you go to the JWT website... they should have maintenance info. I have also heard that it always better to let it get just a lil bit "dirty" anyways.

You should have gotten instructions with some pictures. The filter housing will definitely fit, you have to use the accordion thing off off of the stock intake. Essentially you're just trying to make it look like the stock does now. The most difficult part of this installation is putting those black rubber seals on the heat shield. If you have thin enough gloves to work with these piecies, I'd recommend wearing them.

You got it from everythingg35.com and didn't get instructions? Weird...hold on a sec.

Edit: Here's the link to the instructions in PDF via JWT's website.

WAIT...sorry I was wrong. You attach the MAF to the filter housing. Forgive me, I haven't seen my G since the first week of December.

This is what it should look like.

wowww thanks alot. that picture is worth a thousan thanking words lol one last question.. you use the stock filter housing correct? just take it off the stock intake and place it on the ztube and popcharger?

EDIT: and another question.. can you explain to me where each one of those rubber things needs to go? im trying to put them on but im really confused. the only one i understand is the really long one that stretches across the entire side of the head shield

No, if you got the Z-tube and filter, you're taking everything out. The only thing you will be putting back in is the MAF, which is the piece in which the wires plug into it. The MAF will connect right to the back of the filter housing, the piece with the partial conal piece called the venturi stack. If you take the filter and look at the back of it, you'll see what I'm talking about...its the big aluminum piece. You can also loosen up the clamp that's on the filter with a screwdriver and remove the filter from the venturi stack, which I was referring to as the filter housing.

The foam seal things...they kind of coincide with the length of the side they go on. It was tricky for me to figure out as well. They don't fit exactly. I can't remember how they went....your best bet is to look at the pictures from the JWT instructions I posted. Or someone who can readily go out to theirs could chime in.
