^ Well it is basically a less restrictive air filter than the factory provides. These are wash-able reusable elements.

For more info on them check out jim wolf technologys website.

I think it's a fancy name for the open-air filters that usually go at the end of the cold air intakes. Similar to a K&N cone filter I guess.

Its a conical filter. They are only really effective on certain vehicles that have intake restriction, i.e. the G35. You will gain only about 4.5-6.5 HP at about 6K RPM. The better bang for the buck would be a true CAI system. I have seen as much as 10-12 HP pick up in the higher RPM range (a Injen system to be exact).- Joe

John,

Which ones will fit 240's?Those of us that run after market turbo motors all run off a cone filter and some of those filters are starting to look beaten up.

^It depends which maf you used. For the KA you would use the 240 Part number $94.95For the Z32 Maf you would use the 96-00 Pathfinder pop charger $94.95For the original Silvia Maf I'll have to check with JWT and see what they reccomend. I don't know off the top of my head which kit to use. My guess would be the SentraGTIR . I do however know that they are all the same price $94.95

Just some added information on the JWT popcharger.

I did some research on CAI for the 350z on several 350z sites and most people who put their car on the dyno before and after their intake mods were very surprised. Most of the CAI's were not producing any HP on the 350z. However the JWT popcharger did make several HP at peek and much more at lower rpms.

The JWT popcharger is the best intake out there for the 350z at this point and that is a great price!;)

I have an SR20DET with the stock (for an SRdet) MAF.It turned out the filter that was on my Q45 fit perfect replacing the (raggedly) cone filter that was on there. It was a Stillen unit which I had taken off my Q45, which has stock intake back on.

I think this filter was like $240 back in the day from Stillen, so it appears you are certainly very competitive in your pricing..:)

I hope this helps you match sizes for this application, as I am sure many other SR guys may need/want a new cone filter soon (even if I dont anymore).
