with a jim wolf ecu is it pointless to run an a/f gauge being that you really cant tune the ecu. and i know narrow bands are "pointless" to some. but i bought one a while back and dont want to see money thrown away so would it hurt to hook it up just to get a general idea

You could hook it up, wont be accurate though. Atleast you'll know if youre leaning out.

If I ever got a mail order tune I'd go so far as to still put a wideband and maybe an SAFC to fine tune it. Extra insurance for the long run..

my buddy told me to get one of those i can pick the apexi one up for 150 i mean its ok but my turbo timer has pretty much all the same features(HKS 41001-AK010 Type-1) exept for tps and the a/f and being that i have the air fuel gauge. (not wideband) is the a/f setup on the safc. and can u actually change ur setup with the safc

yes u can change ur fuel being put in but it doesnt affect timing so its not good to just tune with a safc, but if u get a jwt tune then use the wideband and safc to fine tune ur a/f ratio its perfectly fine.
